We are so excited to be a part of the NetSquared community. It's refreshing to have a online venue that supports and encourages socially conscious ideas. We are one of the 15 groups that will be presenting at the N2Y4 conference next week, and we wanted to take a moment to introduce our initiative on the blog along with outlining how you can help support our cause!

PublicStuff is an online platform that connects people with their local governments to increase transparency and civic participation in communities nationwide. We allow people to report and track things in their community, like street repairs, park improvements, legislation tracking, sanitation services, etc.—the things that affect our daily lives. And we take this one step farther by providing the necessary software and tools local governments need to manage these communications coming in through the web. This will allow your local government to effectively respond to the requests and inquires you are making online.

We have made incredible progress in the past few months, from developing our demo, to creating a strong business approach to developing relationships with local government leaders nationwide. And we are now looking for support to help us develop a mobile application that will feed directly into our site.  Our mobile application will enable users to enter requests and information on the go, as it occurs. They can also easily attach media, such as relevant photos to their requests. Here's how you can support us and get involved:

1. Sign your city up online: If you want to see PublicStuff implemented in your city, complete this short form.

2. Support us at NetSquared: If you believe in our cause, then cast your vote at the conference!

3. Programmers: This summer we are kicking off our coding, so please let us know if you're interested in what opportunities we have. We are also kicking off our Summer of Coding for Good program. Cick here  for more details.

And as always, please reach out to us with any comments/suggestions you may have. We're looking forward to hearing from you and even potentially partnering with some of you in the coming months before our launch!
