Challenge Winners Announced
Thanks to everyone for your for your thoughtful proposals. We had many more proposals than I expected. You’ve started some exciting conversations in our office.
The challenge winners (in no particular order) are Kristy Graves, John Brennan, Rufina Fernandes and Edward Harran.
It’s an honor to work with you all in the nonprofit tech community, and I hope very much to see you at NTC.
Dine-Arounds
It's a simple idea--and not terribly original. But it's been the highlight of several recent conferences for me:
Simply invite conference speakers, representatives from the host organization, interesting members, etc. to host a group of 6-10 members at a local restaurant one evening during the conference.
The host selects the venue, we post signup sheets on a board in the member lounge, make reservations at the restaurant and provide a meeting location for the groups to get together and head off to dinner.
Everyone covers their own costs (except perhaps speakers, whose meals are likely reimbursed anyway) and has a great time, with great food, and a small group of other fascinating individuals.
