- production, access and distribution have all been democratised
- read/write web
- not just blogs
- proxy world for audio, video,
- grassroots media is the norm not the exception

- moving to something like a conversation

- secrets harder to keep
- whether you ask people or not they will do it
- citizen witness with a camera is not new i.e. 1 guy with camera at JFK
- what's different today is there'd be 1000s of people not 1 guy and they are all connected to networks
- community voting and rating is a start

- transparency will become much more a part of journalism
