Where to start? How to discover the unknown or unpolished gems? As the founder/ceo of NABUUR (see www.nabuur.com) I am interested in innovative approaches that have the potential to improves the lives of so many people in the South. So I quickly read the proposals under volunteer recruitment (as a strategy) and community improvement (as a cause).
These are the proposals that caught my eye. You may want to check them out.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! Whoooo HOOOoooooo!!!!
Congratulations Siegfried!!!!
I just wanted to congratulate you on Nabuur making it into the top 21. I hope the conference goes really well and Nabuur benefits greatly from it. I also want to thank you for coming up with the concept in the first place and implementing it, so that I, and the many thousands of volunteers on Nabuur, can help the developing nations to help themselves! :O)
Once again..... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Buttons of Hope project
michael gibbons
Siegfried, I wanted to thank you for the mention of my project Buttons of Hope -- I hope that more people recognize the value and profound difference these simple tools(photo buttons) can make at the grass roots level -- where the asking actually takes place! My project is different than many of the projects -- using the internet and social networking to deliver a powerful, tangible tool for fundraising and cause awareness -- thanks for your support!
