My take-aways from the Virtual Worlds Conference in Silicon Valley, October 10-11, 2007

(Cross posted at nonprofitcommons.org, it's a little different here, but not much)

I am just recovering from the virtual worlds conference and I wanted to get down some notes before I lost track of the context in which my notes originated.

Ideas that took precedence:
*Interoperability
*What is happening to bring the SL communities outside the SL firewall?
*Can we twitter via SL?
*How can we port 2-d social network spaces into 3-D workspaces?
*How can we use virtual worlds to augment our every day real-life work meetings?
*How can we create open standards in virtual worlds?
