Building community in your area? Check out the newly-launched Community Organizers Handbook! Everything you need to start and grow a NetSquared Local group or any other community-powered program.
I have submitted a project called Change Broadcast channels.
It brings advanced technologies and tools from Twitter, Daylife and Flurry together to create communities that would bring social change to the world.
How? - They will have mechanism to use the outreach of web on their computers and SMS on their cellphones to get latest updates on issues of their interest. They will contribute to the community by voting on and rating and float up the news stories and events that are most relevant to that community. There will be channels of communication for members within the community and across communities to harbor a productive discussion around issues of change.
Disclosure - I work for Daylife and I am a big fan of flurry and Twitter. I have been thinking about this idea for a long time and this was the perfect opportunity to put my thoughts together and write a proposal. Thank you netsquared!

Great project Vineet! I just gave it a star.
I work with small businesses in developing countries, and mobile phones are critical to them and their success. Look forward to telling you more about it.
Meanwhile, I have submitted a mashup project called Biz-o-mat which you can see here. It helps small businesses in developing countries.
If you like it, please give it a star before COB today.
Thanks! See you in California in May!
