About the Chicago Camp

NetSquared Chicago Counts is an opportunity to bring together technology professionals seeking meaningful volunteer opportunities with organizations struggling to manage their technology needs.

Although Chicago is a large city with great stuff happening, there isn't always a lot of coordination of effort.  This conference will provide an opportunity for people to break out of their silos to create a larger social good community. We have a very active tech community and a very active nonprofit community. This conference will facilitate the integration of these two communities with the potential for some extraordinary results. We are hoping to create an exciting collaborative tool for nonprofit organizations at this event as well as help to facilitate long term relationships between tech professionals and nonprofit organizations.

Who should attend this Camp?

This Camp is aimed at nonprofit professionals and volunteers who are interested in learning more about how technology can help them be more skilled at work, either by utilizing technology or having an understanding of it in order to strategize for an organization.  The conference is also aimed at technology professionals who are interested in volunteering for nonprofit organizations or perhaps networking with organizations to find a paid position.

Camp schedule/agenda

The event runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 12.  Sign in and refreshments will be available from 8:00 am. The event will begin with a large gathering at 9:00 with the entire conference, then break into smaller sessions, including unconference choices. The event will conclude by 5:00 pm.

Volunteer Opportunities

The entire event is run by volunteers, from speakers, tech support, outreach, the unconference, Tech Fair and more! If you're interested in volunteering your time and skills, contact Heidi.
