Q: How much money will winners receive?
A: First place will receive $15,000, second place will receive $10,000, and third place will receive $5,000.

Q: How will winners be selected?
A: Winners will be selected by a panel of 5 Microsoft select experts. Please see Judging Criteria for details.

Q: What are the United Nations Millennium Development Goals?
A: The Millennium Development Goals were agreed upon by 189 nations around the world more than eight years ago. They encompass universally accepted human rights such as freedom from hunger, the right to basic education, the right to health, and a responsibility to future generations. We are now more than halfway toward the target date 2015 by which the Millennium Development Goals are to be achieved. Additional information can be found:

Q: What are the eligibility rules?
A: There are only a few. Check out the Rules and Guidelines.

Q: Can non-U.S. charitable organizations participate?
A: Yes, of course!

Q: Can I re-submit a Project for this Challenge that has been submitted to a previous Challenge?
A: Yes, as long as your Project is applicable to mobile technology and meets all other published guidelines.

Q: How do I re-submit a Project to this Challenge?
A: Be sure to "Edit" your Project for relevancy AND click the "Microsoft" Prize Tag on the Submission Form.

Q: What will happen to my published Project if I do not win the Microsoft Mobile Challenge for Development?
A: Your Project will remain in the Global Project Gallery to be eligible for additional upcoming Challenges unless you choose to delete the submission. We encourage you to keep your Project updated via the edit tab.
