Find or Start a Local Group

We're interested in working with volunteer organizers interested in convening groups focused on accelerating social-benefit projects through community-driven strategies, technologies, programs and projects. Please review the Organizer Engagement Protocols before submitting the below form. If you have questions, feel free to contact us directly at net2@techsoup.org.

Please review the NetSquared Community Values and share how your contribution as a volunteer organizer will help to strengthen local communities of practice working at the intersection of technology and social-change initiatives.

For groups to be successful long-term, a level of community interest needs to exist even without a formal group yet meeting. To measure this interest, we ask organizers to host an event, using an online tool like Meetup Everywhere, with specific outputs including:

* Identifying co-organizers
* Identifying topics of interest for future events/presentations
* Forecasting participation numbers

Organizers wishing to establish a new group within a reasonable distance of existing groups should first explore contributing as a co-organizer or otherwise collaborating. If an additional group is needed—whether for geographic or population reasons (like is the case with Los Angeles)—groups should have a supporting and cross-promotion plan.

We ask that volunteer organizers provide (3) endorsements

Please include the names and contact information. Alternatively, just point us to endorsements from people in the community on your Linkedin profile.
