Challenge FAQs

Challenges are your opportunity to let your passions shine. Here at NetSquared, we like to showcase creative uses of technology in the social benefit sector. We regularly host global and regional Challenges that bring the most exciting, innovative projects to the forefront. Challenge winners earn prizes that help support their projects' success, ranging from cash to products and technical assistance.

Each Challenge has its own personality, but they all work basically like this:

  1. Along with a sponsor and other collaborators, we set the theme and parameters for the Challenge.
  2. You create an amazing, innovative project.
  3. You submit your project to the Challenge.
  4. We showcase your project along with the others in our project gallery.
  5. You and other users vote on the very best, most creative projects.
  6. A panel of expert judges makes the final decision.
  7. The winners take their prizes and put them to good use.

All in all, Challenges are a great way for you to get some visibility and support for your project---and they're great for NetSquared, too, because we like to see all that you're doing!

Ready to jump in and enter your project in a Challenge? Here's how:

  2. Create a project.
  3. Start collaborating! Note a "need" when creating your project to let folks know what you need to make your project the best it can be.
  4. Find the Challenge you want to enter in our Challenge gallery.
  5. Enter your project in the Challenge (make sure you read the rules first!)

If you have questions about entering your project in a Challenge, please let us know.

You can be involved in running or sponsoring a Challenge in lots of different ways: whether you want to provide financial support, run a Challenge end-to-end, or somewhere in the middle.

The NetSquared beta team is looking forward to a day when hosting or supporting a challenge is self-serve and just as easy as anything. In the meantime, while we work toward that goal, please contact us to let us know you're interested.
