The 2006 NetSquared Conference was a high-energy gathering of hundreds of nonprofit leaders, web innovators and concerned business people who together envisaged the next generation of the nonprofit social web. Through lively conference sessions and intense remote discussions, the conference supported deep learning and fresh insights into how nonprofits can make effective use of the latest web strategies and tools.
And the conference produced more than just talk. We're already seeing new projects emerge out of this two-day event:
• N-TEN forms a group dedicated to using tags for social change: Calling all Tagvocates!
• Katrin Verclas takes an idea from the session on gender and makes it real: Damn, BRA CAMP!
• Ruby Sinreich gets help from company technologists: Testing Technorati
• With help, Matt was able to map toxic release data for Albany, GA: Mashups for EJ
• Sharron Rush puts accessibility on the agenda of social web tool builders and users: Accessibility
