Introduction:

HEADSpace is the outcome of the Jamaica 2000 and EduTech experience of the 1990’s to introduce new tools in the teaching and learning process. As activists in the effort to introduce computers in our schools and were trainers of teachers and other users at the Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels of the education system.

Out of our experiences, we created our own model for developing and implementing effective learning systems. The Model was adapted for use in the New Horizon Primary School Programme in the Ministry of Education in the year 2000.

The Model was first tested in Port Royal where for the summer of 1998 and 1999 we transformed the primary school into an exciting learning environment for over 400 citizens of the town, of all ages, by integrating Arts, Science, Technology and Sports into a high quality learning experience.
