Project Vision Statement & Potential Social Impact:

To connect digital content producers with those needing quality media to enhance their messages of truth. We want to use the Web as a way for ministry and content producers to connect, giving access to quality digital media at an affordible price.  Profits will be shared between the producer and our organization for the purpose of producing more content, and expanding our mission.  Nissi Network is a non-profit organization whose vision is to develop strategic, alignments with individuals and organizations, partnering with them for the purpose of mentoring the next generation and supplying the resources for that generation to effectively impact their peers, families, and communities for Christ. Using the web to distribute content is cost effective and expoential. If in one month a product is downloaded to only 200 churches with an average membership of 400 than 80,000 people will view the message.  These are very real numbers.  Our goal this year is to have over 1000 products on our site. This site will also allow us to form creative teams with students, partner with overseas short term mission trips, and colaborate with local organizations.

Sustainability (financial) model:
If we have 1000 products on our site and we sell an average 5 of each in a month it will give us a monthly revenue of $50K to be split between producers and our own productions.

Media is submitted on a consignment arrangment.  When a ministry downloads a product the producer receives 50%.  The products are priced between $4 and $20 and a broadcast license is given for $99.  Our cost for the product is virtually zero since it is all digital file reproduction.  Most of our cost will be in marketing our site and getting visitors.  This is becoming less of a challenge with the viral web 2 generation but is still going to take creative ideas, and funding to get things rolling. Our Goal is to get 1000 products on the site this year and to generate enough traffic to sell 1 to 5k products per month.  Once we generate $5000 to $7000 per month the project will be self sustaining and can grow from there.

Potential obstacles:

Our biggest obstacle is getting visitors to the site in the early stages, converting them to customers and then leveraging those relationships. To do this we need to have the funds for a substantial marketing plan that would include going to conferences for church media, placing quality ads in targeted magazines, optimizing the website to attract serch engine visitors, going to film festivals to attract fresh creative talent,  hiring a web team to improve the design and so we can convert visitors to customers, and creating the proper tools for the web that will leverage the loyal customer base as it is established.

Resource Needs:

A good web development team.  Funds to help sustain our efforts for the 1 to 2 year it may take to get ourselves established and self supporting.  Upgrade Video production equipment to HD.  A state of the art editing systems (latest dual core Macs)  to replace some of the older Macs we are using.

Key Milestones:

1. Web page design and optimization by May 2007,  2. Develop a creative production team made up of students and professionals to produce some of our own content. 3.1000 products by Jan 2008 3.5000 visitors or more a month by March of 2008.  4. Average of 1000 or more product sales a month before 2009 5. Enough sales in 2009 to sustain the project and begin to expand.

Project Summary:

We are creating a website that has the potential to serve a real need for quality media and content in ministry while training and mentoring young people. What we have accomplished so far can be seen at youreel.org.  We  educate, train, and mentor youth in the art of communication, the medium of technology and the corporate standards of quality.  In the process of the delivery of these services we build community, strengthen relationships, and encourage the development of personal vision, values, morals, and character.  We believe that the positive messages created for and distributed by this site will impact hundreds of thousands who see them as well as those who help create them. We accept submisions from media professionals and allow ministries to download them and use them in their services as well as work with  teens to create digital media  that speaks Biblical truth.  The revenue generated from this site will go back into mentoring and production.
