As social media becomes increasingly embraced by mainstream employers, how can you write a social media policy for your organization that both celebrates the positive side and addresses the negative side of social media? Avatars representing survivors, caregivers, their families and the millions of passionate supporters engaged in fighting cancer worldwide will take center stage virtually, July 19-20, when the American Cancer Society conducts its fourth annual Relay For Life® event in the Second Life virtual world. The 2008 Relay in Second Life will celebrate the “heroes†who epitomize the Society’s global mission and who represent this summer’s virtual world event theme.
The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and Sharinghope.tv have launched a video contest.

· My Relay “Recruitment†Video
· Making Your Relay Meeting Fun
The winner will receive a free flipcam, and the winning video(s) will be featured on RelayForLife.org and SharingHope.tv. The deadline to enter is August 10, 2008.

Though "cool" is definitely a relative term, considering I read something about yesterday about SNOW in the Bay Area...
Last night I had the pleasure of meeting another member of the Net2 Community-- web consultant, Alexandra (many of you know her as "Alex") Samuel. We all gathered, in web 2.0 appropriateness, at the Yahoo!, Delicious, Flickr party at the Iron Cactus, an Austin staple on 6th St. Billy, Marshall, Alex and I enjoyed the open vibe and the open air of the 2nd floor patio.
