Watch out for the BarCamp-like 'Social Innovation Camp' in London in early March 2008, with it's Netsquare-inspired aspiration to 'remix nonprofits for social change'. Hopefully some of the ideas cooked up there will make it to next year's 'Best Of...'

  • Best Use of the Social Web for Advocacy by a Nonprofit: MoveOn … for mobilizing their membership inside of Facebook against the invasion of privacy, taking action based upon their improved understanding of members’ through interpretation of the social cube.
  • Best Use of the Social Web for Raising Awareness by a Nonprofit: Greenpeace for publishing thousands of online videos, some of which were watched by millions. They told stories well.
  • Best Use of the Social Web for Member Recruitment by a Nonprofit: Care2 for attracting a diverse base of new members across many issues by responding to members’ issues and concerns. They listened well.
