I am a young, minority, marginalized woman from this area who has learned to use mobile cellphones to successfully change my life and help empower the lives of others in my area.

In a very brief summary:

A remote funding developer. They work from home, they take up less support costs and they don’t involve supervisory time - what’s not to love? I worked as a remote funding researcher recently, and while I’m not willing to flat out say it doesn’t work (comments welcome from people doing just fine at this job) I am willing to tell you what to watch out for.

We're going to have a NetSquared/TechSoup meetup on May 6th in Toronto, Canada during the 2008 International Computer Refurbishers Summit. 

We're looking for a free/affordable venue relatively near the Delta Chelsea Hotel that has wifi and that would be appropriate for socializing, and hearing a speaker(s).
