Mashup Contest Entered

O.k., no site, but the idea is out there for anyone who wants to help out with this.  It's the Pupose Media International one, just incase.  It's a non-profit that will help develop and distribute for-good content through all media channels and work toward being the only collaborative media company for the people made by the people.

Suggestions, comments, how you can help???

Go for it!

Shopping for a Cause: MAATIAM

I plan to participate in "Buy Nothing Day," on November 23. Mostly because I tend to simply give donations in honor of friends and family to my favorite causes, the Sharing Foundation and Creative Commons. And I've also used the "Changing the Present" to make a donation to a charity and have received "virtual gifts" via Changing the Present on Facebook.

Cauzoo is Signing Up!

We loved meeting everyone during the NetSquared frenzy- it was so great to learn about your projects.

So we definitely wanted to make this one of the first places we went to when we started signing up causes. Right now, we're building a base of nonprofits before we launch.

But I won't talk your ear off here- check out our tour and, most importantly, give us a shout out to tell us what you think (or go ahead and sign up).

The join page is at the end.

Good luck to the conference goers and everyone else!

Online Storytelling & Cause Marketing: An Interview with Jonah Sachs of Free Range Studios

Hello Net2 blog readers!

I'm back from my 2-week trip to Peru which was awesome.

Before I left, I did an interview for my Big Vision Podcast with Jonah Sachs, the Principal of Free Range Studios, an advertising and marketing firm with offices in Washington DC and Berkeley, California that specializes in non-profits and socially responsible businesses. They created the award-winning film, The Meatrix, about factory farming, and the hilarious film, Store Wars, about the importance of organic farming.
