The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) is holding an Open Innovation Competition as part of the ITU Telecom World meeting being held in Geneva this October. The two-part competition includes separate sections for Young Innovators (people under 25) and Digital Innovators (geeks and techies) working with NGOs and nonprofits.

The recent Applications for Good contest challenged developers to create apps that would help low-income Americans become connected learners, find jobs, get healthy, and build financial security. Developers submitted their ideas and creations from March 14 until May 16. The winners were announced during a live streamed ceremony on June 14.

One Economy and AT&T recently launched the Applications for Good Challenge. The challenge aims to encourage the development of fun and engaging mobile applications and games that can help ordinary people become connected learners, find jobs, get healthy, and build financial security. The submission period began March 14 and runs until May 16. The winners will be announced June 1.
The DoGooder Nonprofit Video Awards, from See3, in partnership with YouTube, are back again for the 5th year! The Awards are open for submissions from members of the YouTube Nonprofit Program until March 2nd.
