As part of this year's N2Y4 mobile theme, Yahoo! is looking for innovative uses of mobile technology that will inspire people to use social technology to help the environment. Using Yahoo! APIs is a plus but not necessary.

The most innovative green technology project will receive a $5,000 Yahoo! Search Marketing award.

Every year swimming pools are wasting billions of gallons of water that can be saved. This blog addresses the problems with the current use of full pool covers, and how half covers are the solution to pool water conservation. It takes only 200 pools using pool covers to save an entire 3.5 million gallon tank of city drinking water.

I am glad that I voted for 5 projets posted here on NetSquared. What I liked most is that I now will have access to ideas as I prepare to use social web technologies to advance our cause for leadership development in Bangladesh, especially for the youth.
