Saying Hello to #Net2Local via Twitter

Who are the NetSquarted Local organizers ?

Well, this is the question that Steven Flower, NetSquared Local Organizer in Manchester, UK., wondered. Not only did he want to know what they were doing, but wanted to introduce himself.

Steven prompted a fun way to connect with organizers through Twitter. For those organizers who are using Twitter this is a quick and easy way connect and share with other Local groups.

It's simple, introduce yourself just like Steven did here.

If you have a Twitter account:

Hi NetSquared Community, Jennie Here

Following the lead of many others who have introduced themselves, I thought I'd add a little hello and a brief intro.

I'm Jennie, part of the NetSquared Team. Formerly the Producer but now moving into a new role as Partner Relations Manager.

This Challenge season has been amazing and as I reflect back on the last 8 months or so, I am truly in awe. We have seen hundreds of innovative and socially progressive Projects submitted from 50+ countries. But the best part of it all, at least from my perspective, was watching the growing and evolving nature of community to Project (and Project to Project) collaboration. This is what it's all about folks. Collaboration!

Greetings!

Hi, I'm Joe Pezzillo, attending N2Y4 in my role as a Board Member of DAETC: The Denver Area Educational Telecommunications Consortium as part of the Grantsmakers in Film and Electronic Media delegation.

An Introduction: Alex Steed (!)

My name is Alex Steed.

Somewhere around twice a week, I will (obviously) be tackling subjects relevant to Internet technology and your engagement with the nonprofit world. I will specifically focus on:

Re-Introduction: Amy Sample Ward

Hello to the Net Squared community blog readers!

I wanted to take a quick moment and re-introduce myself to everyone. I'm an nptecher that loves community. I think we have something special here at Net Squared and am excited to say that I'm now going to be a solid part of it! I'll be posting here twice a week, with insights, case studies, and how-tos that I come across to help you all as you continue to adopt and evaluate technology for nonprofits.

It's On in the Morning

Hello Fellow NetSquaredians,

Looking forward to the conference to start tomorrow morning. Some of my interests include technology, sociology, volunteering and project management. I think I can work all of those into play tomorrow.

Everyone's introductions sound impressive and accomplished so I'm looking forward to meeting folks in person.

I'm not with any company or organization. I'll be a free agent.

Absolutely Perfect Intentions: The Knowmore.org API Part I

I'm writing this while I sit in the passenger seat of a giant, white cargo van careening up the East Coast on route 15, so if I seem a bit distracted in tone, that's probably why. I could wait the four hours until I'm safely in the confines of my computer chair, but I don't want to lose the ideas while they're there. Well, that and I'm sort of melodramatic...

Welcome to N2Y2!

Welcome to San Jose! It's great to see so many innovators in one room with an interest in bringing new resources and new players together.

So what are we doing here? To connect, resource, share, learn, collaborate, brainstorm, challenge, encourage and vote!

For the next two days I will be blogging here at Cisco for the feedback focus sessions and will do my best to keep the conversations alive here on NetSquared.

Daniel's at the podium now setting the stage for the event, asking us all to keep brevity at a premium as we seek to go through 21 great projects in a matter of hours. The hat person chooses Nabuur first as the projects begin their five minute introduction to present their work to the community.

Best wishes to all of the presenting innovation networks!

Coming back for more

I'll be getting up veeery early tomorrow morning to head west for the second annual NetSquared conference-thingy. Last year's event had a profound effect on me. It's where I first started using Second Life , and it's where I had the opportunity to deepen my relationship with the brilliant Micah Sifry which led to my eventual involvement in techPresident and the Personal Democracy Forum.
