microblogging

Follow, Follow, Tweet Tweet (realities of microblogging)

Microblogs like Twitter are a great vehicle to help organize political demonstrations in countries run by corrupt governments (and an effective way to spread misinformation), but how can nonprofit organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), libraries, government programs, and other mission-based organizations really use microblogs to promote their work, increase attendance at an event, get donations or mobilize or support volunteers?

Open Space Micro Blogging - Real Time Collaboration Workshop

This is an experiment in virtual collaboration. On May 9, 2009, from 14.00-17.00 GMT (please check your local time here), we will host the world's largest Real Time Virtual Collaboration Workshop. The workshop will be based on the self-organization principles of Large Systems Change Methods like Bar Camps, World Café, Open Space Technology, etc. and will be facilitated applying different collaboration technologies such as Voice-over-IP, messaging tools, micro blogs etc.

Microblogging with Twitter and Drupal

I have been playing around with Twitter tonight, trying to see how well this can integrate with Drupal. There is alot of buzz starting to brew about how Twitter can be used as a tool for advocacy, political campaigning, and possibly even fundraising. I was personally looking for an easy way to do some micro-blogging from the road. To be completely honest, I am not a huge blogger (as you can see from the frequency of my posts), because it requires me to take time out of my busy days to sit down and formulate coherent thoughts into posts like this one (ugh).
