The bullet points:
Want to help develop innovative services for changemakers around the world? We're looking for you.
There's a new position in a new program at TechSoupGlobal: we're looking for a Product Manager to oversee product development, program design and Operations for the Community-Driven Innovation program. The day-to-day focus is on developing modular features, products and services that surface the resource needs of people and organizations work for social-benefit around the world. The net-impact of the role will drive contributions to social-benefit organizations from volunteers; technology companies; funders and anyone else interested in contributing their time, technology and funds to entrepreneurial projects.
This week, the NetSquared team will be at the 2010 Nonprofit Technology Conference in Atlanta. We'll be presenting and facilitating, listening and connecting. One thing we are really excited about is the opportunity to hold an open spaces session on Thursday, forcused on open data and APIs. Participants can learn how their organization could use open data and APIs to show impact, coordinate volunteers, or inspire supporters to take action.
NetSquared Local is growing with groups getting started all over the world. But groups aren't just coming together once a month, they are finding even more ways to connect the local community and make positive social impact. The first NetSquared local group in Spain, NetSquared Madrid, is a new group that's already going above and beyond to spread opportunities and informaiton about social entrepreneurism in Madrid.
NetSquared Madird is organized by five Spanish Engineers with a passion for innovation and social change:

Over the last week, technology has played an unprecedented role in bringing aid to and saving lives in Haiti. Over $22 million has been raised by the American Red Cross via text message (about a fifth of total Haiti-related giving to the organization so far). And then there's the role that Facebook and Twitter are playing.
We can't believe that 2009 is already coming to a close! From in-person opportunities via Challenges and conferences, to online collaborations in blogs and Twitter, we know that the NetSquared Community is not just alive and well, reaching around the globe, but making huge contributions to the fields of social benefit work and technology. What's more, you, the NetSquared Community, are actively shaping the connected world where we live and work every day.
Here at NetSquared we are proud, honored, and in awe every day of the very special global community made up of local groups and their networks, the ties between local groups around the world, and the project teams from all over the globe focused on innovations that help us make the world a better place. Reflecting on the Community and the work being done in every corner of the world, we've tried to articulate some of the aspects that make the NetSquared Community so unique and also so powerful.
The first major round of the NetSquared site redesign is now live, but as you click around the site you might be thinking, "Where's the beef?"
Much of this upgrade was focused behind-the-scenes and not as much on the side of the site you see; though that will flip-flop in the next round in a couple weeks. Below is a run through of what we've implemented so far that you can see, an overview of the dramatic back-end improvements we've made, and a preview of what is still to come in the first half of December.
As you know, we are working on a redesign of the NetSquared platform. First, we aggregated feedback from the Community, and even from ourselves. Then, we shared our ideas and some mockups with you on the blog this summer to get more feedback, share our thinking, and keep the process open. Now, we're ready for action! We have a small team in place hard at work implementing many of the elements you've all suggested. And again, we're going to keep the process open...
