What does it take? Whether you're on the board, on staff, or a volunteer, this is on every nonprofit's mind. And if you're looking around yourself at all, you're attempting to plan ahead. Developing support for your nonprofit means communicating. A lot.
What about making people laugh?

Join with other 'women who tech' from the Portland area on Sunday, June 22, to meet new friends, hang out with old friends, collaborate on ideas, share stories, and enjoy the plethora of potluck picnic foods. This is a great opportunity to create a local, supportive network for the vibrant and thriving community of women in technology professions by giving you all an open platform to share talents, experiences and insights.
Last night was the April Net Tuesday here in Portland. We had Heather Cronk with us from PledgeBank to talk about online campaign building (both with PB and the general topic). It was quite a lively discussion, answering questions and leaving participants with others to think about in their organizations.
The fourth Tuesday of each month, social changemakers and web innovators get together to network, mix, swap stories and ideas, build new relationships and learn.
All those interested, involved, or employed in nonprofits and that recognize the importance and utility of technology in the sector are invited to join us for discussion and exchange.
Hi all-
As a former nonprofit communications staffer, consultant, and web designer, and currently as a foundation communications and new media staffer, I think we really need to get Net Tuesday up and running in Portland. Despite the amount of enthusiasm I have
for organizing a local Net Tuesday, I would really like to have some co-organizers to hold hands with as we start it. I think the nonprofit technology community in Portland is full of rich stories to share, interesting experiences to learn from, and open and willing individuals to teach and learn.
