Over the last two and a half years, I’ve had a great opportunity and a whole lot of fun working to build community around the world at the intersection of technology and social change through the NetSquared program and TechSoup Global’s partner network.

NetSquared is seeking a Drupal whiz with a deep understanding of the nonprofit technology sphere to serve as system admin and Drupal developer for the global site.

This role will require you to plan and implement new features, functions and applications in our community-driven process. Working in a fast-paced and distributed environment, you will be asked to develop engaging online tools that facilitate usability and increase participation.

There's a new position in a new program at TechSoupGlobal: we're looking for a Product Manager to oversee product development, program design and Operations for the Community-Driven Innovation program. The day-to-day focus is on developing modular features, products and services that surface the resource needs of people and organizations work for social-benefit around the world. The net-impact of the role will drive contributions to social-benefit organizations from volunteers; technology companies; funders and anyone else interested in contributing their time, technology and funds to entrepreneurial projects.

My name is Valery Colong . I am Technology coordinator of AMISPROJECT Cameroon. We have been working on  the Agricultural Market Information Service (AMISPROJECT) to deliver timely information to farmers and consumers. We carried out or field studies which we presented at a conference in Cameroon last year. I am excited to be here to represent our TEAM and look forward to having a great conference and making new connections for future collaboration.

Your Mapper has a Project Lead now and his name is Ted Ko. Ted was matched up with Your Mapper through the efforts of the NetSquared team and Billy, and brings some great small business experience and project planning skills to Your Mapper.

I'd like to announce a new member of the Your Mapper team, Ben Peskoe, who will be our Development Manager. Ben will be attending the NetSquared conference so everyone will get to meet him there.

Ben has a stong background in web programming and development and brings some small buisiness and interface design experience to the project. He currently runs Sierra Interactive, a turnkey web solution for realtors, located at sierrainteractive.com.

 

A few weeks ago, Asa Dotzler of Firefox wrote a post about our featured project and quest for developer support. The same day, Bernard Dolan made a shout-out to the Strange Famous Records Forum. Over the days that followed, a number of talented developers from all over the world sent emails offering their help & support. Wow!
