UCB Human Rights Center's Mobile Challenge: Top Ten Projects Announced

ucb hrc mobile challenge netsuqaredThe UC Berkeley Human Rights Center's Mobile Challenge highlighted projects from around the world leveraging mobile technology to aid in human rights work.  There's 50 Projects in the Gallery, and the Community Vote last week decided the Top Ten!  Finalists will be invited to present their ideas at an international conference, “The Soul of the New Machine: Human Rights, Technology, and New Media,” at UC Berkeley, May 4 and 5, 2009.

Last Day to submit ideas in Human Rights Center Mobile Challenge!

ucb hrc mobile challengeToday is the last day to submit your ideas for mobile applications for human rights in the UCB Mobile Challenge!  Entries can be ideas or working applications for any mobile platform. There's $30,000 for 3 winning Projects to be awarded at the international conference, "The Soul of the New Machine: Human Rights, Technology, and New Media," at UC Berkeley, May 4 and 5, 2009.

Projects that support human rights work can be for any mobile platform and at any stage of development to be eligible.  There's $30,000 on the table for the three winners and you can submit your idea in just a matter of minutes!
