Happy Blog Action Day everyone! In case you haven't heard, Blog Action Day is an annual event held every October 15 that unites the world’s bloggers in posting about the same issue on the same day with the aim of sparking a global discussion and driving collective action. This year's topic is water. I've seen loads of really great #BAD2010 posts today, so for my contribution to this effort, I've decided to share a round-up of web and mobile technology related Blog Action Day posts.

As hand-held mobile devises connected to the internet spread to cities, villages, remote communities around the world, we need to continue finding ways to use these tools to make a positive impact.

Here are a few ways you can use technology today to learn more and act for water conservation!

Western water and very good karma - can you help?

Can you help? Here in the West, our rivers and drinking water supply are in peril - from climate change impacts, drought and a growing population. Environmental groups are working hard to address these problems - and their work would be greatly helped by access to an on-line community forum - a virtual meeting ground where they could get it touch with colleagues across the West, find experts, learn about best practices, get information on cutting edge issues, get postings on conferences of interest, etc.
