Where to Find Jobs Using the Social Web for Social Change

Each week in the Net2 Newsletter I try to share links to jobs that use the social web for social change. People often ask me where to find these kinds of jobs. The main places I find them are:

NTEN's Job List
New Organizing Institute Job List
Idealist
TechSoup's Job Listings
Social Edge's Job Listings
Nonprofit Tech Jobs Yahoo Group
Progressive Exchange List

Is there anywhere else people who are looking for nonprofit technology jobs should look?

At the Gathering of Community Digital Storytellers (see blog at http://communitydigitalstorytellers.blogspot.com/) in June of 2006, more than forty digital storytelling facilitators from a wide range of communities across the country came together at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Participants connected with one another; and shared teaching methods, organizing strategies, and approaches to distribution. Participants also began to identify ways to form collaborative efforts to take this important work to the next level of impact. This event was sponsored by MassIMPACT, Creative Narrations, and the Center for Digital Storytelling.

Introduction

Hi;

 I work & live in NYC. I have a variety of interests (local & national politics, health, faith based, computers, web etc).

I currently work as a field marketing rep for a non profit org in NYC. I would like the opportunity to do more in terms of community relations & event planning / advertising.

Centromigrante wins MIT

CentroMigrante wins MIT 100K   For a business idea that was just discovered on a "serendipity walk," (see this article) there is no doubt that Centromigrante has made a giant leap by winning the grand prize from the prestigious MIT 100K Entrepreneurship Competition last week in Cambridge, Massachussettes. This is the first time a  Filipino team has taken on this 100K race, a competition that might as well be compared to a marathon for its magnitude and prestige. An advantage arose for the Pinoy team when MIT decided to shift course this year and open 100K to a development track.
