Google-Based Thriftiness and The Perks of e-Advocating in Small Town States

Christian McNeil has been working as Communications Director at GrowSmart Maine since early last year. GrowSmart is a self-described "action tank" (a hybrid of a ‘think tank’ and an action organization), and they're one of Maine's biggest grassroots advocacy organizations.

Making Technology Available to Everyone - Interview with John Lyman from Google.org

John Lyman from Google.org talks to us about how social benefit organizations are using Google Apps to enhance their operations and collaborate.

Our goal is really for non-profits to have access to the same technologies that Fortune 500 companies have… And the way that you do that, basically, is you make the same technology available to everyone, which is what Google has done.

Jed Sundwall: What are you working on with Google.org?

Google Apps and Blogger

Using Blogger to host a weblog and Google Apps to create web pages cannot be done on the same custom domain, as I found out after much troubles.
Solution could be to use Wordpress, or not to use the Google page creator not with the custom domain.
See original post here (NL) and here (UK)

Upcoming Net Tuesday Phoenix: Google Apps for Nonprofits

Our first "real" Phoenix meeting had a decent turnout of 8 persons. As internal communication was one of the key areas which was highlighted discussion, Jaime Casap from Google's Phoenix office will be joining us in September to talk about Google Apps for nonprofits.

RSVP on the Netsquared Meetup site!
