NetSquared enables social benefit organizations to leverage the tools of the social web.

Net2 Local

NetSquared works on and offline to connect the global community at the intersection of technology and social change. This platform is your online space to connect, share ideas, and collaborate. But offline...

Net Tuesday or NetSquared Local groups are monthly events that take place in cities around the world. These events serve as a great opportunity to convene local communities to share ideas, learn from each other, and even collaborate on projects for real world impact. These gatherings provide a chance to connect for all those interested in the intersection of social technologies and social change in your local community. Members of local groups represent nonprofit organizations and foundations, government agencies and service providers, designers and developers, innovators and social entrepreneurs.

Your local group is part of a global network, connecting social changemakers all over the world: Join in!

In 2009, a community-focused partnership opportunity emerged between NetSquared and WiserEarth.  As WiserEarth's online community grew, and avoiding reinventing the wheel, it became clear that a natural next step would be to create offline opportunities to bring the community together in conjunction with the offline community building work NetSquared has already been doing for a few years.

Now, WiserEarth Community members interested in organizing a local, offline group can share the resources and support that NetSquared organizers receive.  Groups are promoted via the WiserEarth and NetSquared websites, and both are open to anyone to participate with an interest in the intersection of technology and social impact.

If you’d like to learn more about WiserEarth or are a WiserEarth member and want to find out more about local WiserTuesday gatherings and groups, please contact Camilla Burg at WiserEarth.
